FOCUS: COVENANT DAY OF DIVINE EXEMPTION
It is important to know that everything answers to the authority of the Word. In fact, everything is the Word and the Word is everything. What is the Word? The Word is just an expression of the thoughts of the heart. What you speak is formed in you. Words are the verbalization of what is in the mind. So, when God speaks, He speaks according to His mind. The Word of God is the revelation of the mind of God; and as a man thinks, so is he. What you express creates your reality.
Much more importantly, the Word of God is the manual and the divine guide for living. Therefore, the attention you give to the Word of God determines the level of success or result you command in life.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).
The Word of God is what reveals your lot to you. In the Word, you know what you are entitled to. The more familiar you are with the Word of God, the more you live in the truth.
Why do you need to meditate on the Word of God? If the thoughts of your heart are wrong, what you speak will be wrong. You will create a wrong world around you. Through meditation, you will change the negative thoughts in your heart. You change your own thoughts that are not producing your desired result and bring in the thoughts of God to recreate everything.
Your mind is a very powerful tool in life. When you change your thinking pattern, you change the happenings around you. If you want to succeed in life, give attention to the Word in the area where you want success. There is a Word in the area, and it is your duty to find it out, (Proverbs 4:20-23). The heart is where the battle of life is, (Romans 12:1-2). God does not only answer to what you say but what you think about, (Ephesian 3:20). You are a product of your thoughts. If evil is happening around you, check your thoughts, (Isaiah 55:7-11). God does not speak anyhow. Any Word spoken by God is premeditated. God is a thinker; it is out of His thoughts that His Words come forth to create, (Genesis 1:1). It is one thing for God to think and another for your thoughts to agree with His own. It is in the process of meditation on His Words that the thoughts are aligned together. When you get to that point, you have gotten His Word planted in your heart. The Christian life is a life of consciousness. So, think on the things that bring life. The Word of God is to give you the right things to think about. You cannot think about the Word and not be like the Word of God, (Psalm 1:1-3).
Now that you are a brand-new creature, change the programme of your mind. You must invest in the Word of God and change your thinking and your lifestyle will change, (Isaiah 43:18-19). Keep refreshing your mind everyday with the Word of God. Whatever you cannot see in God, do not envision it for your life. The Word of God is not the instruction of any church or man but the commandment of God. Find out what it says and stay committed to doing it (James 1:22-25). The Word of God carries solutions to every problem of life. If the Word created everything, then it has the capacity to repair whatever is damaged. The Word of God can overrule the verdict of man. So, engage the Word of God and your story shall change forever. As a child of God, the Word should be your standard of living. Adopt it as your standard of living and you will see the difference in your life. You cannot obey the commandment of God and not be set on high. The Word of God has inbuilt speed, nothing is as quick and speedy as the Word of God (Psalm 147:15). The Word of God is as fast as the speed of light. The Word is quick and powerful. The Word of God is also the weapon with which we fight the battles of life. Essentially, the battles of life are with the powers of darkness.
The Word of God is light and when you have light, you do not struggle with darkness. Every time you embrace the light that comes to you, you are translated to the light of the world. When the Word comes, protocols are suspended. Nothing can stand on the way of the Word. Therefore, we need to give attention to who we are in Christ. The Word of God is a vital rule of instruction for living (Deuteronomy 8:1-4). When you follow what He says, blessings will surely follow (Psalm 115:12). The test of life will reveal your character. The Word is your fountain of joy. How much attention you give to the Word of God, determines your buoyancy of life (Psalm 19:8-9). You cannot contact joy and be sad (Psalm119:162, 165, Jeremiah 15:16). To access God’s plan for your life, you must remain joyful because without joy, you cannot access the treasures in Scripture.
Wherever you dwell as a child of God, there is a mark of exemption and divine covering (Psalm 91:1-16). By redemption, you are a carrier of divinity and no evil is permitted around you (Isaiah 43:3-4, Zechariah 2:8-9). No matter the evil happening around you, your case is different. You shall be exempted. Every believer is a new creature and old things that used to happen, have passed away. So, you must embrace the reality of your new nature (2 Corinthians 5:17).
