SERVICE: BREAKING INVISIBLE
BARRIERS.
"(As
it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations), before him whom he
believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be
not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might
become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall
thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now
dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of
Sarah's womb” (Romans 4: 17-19).
Understanding determines the quality of the results that you
command. Every arrival of the Word of God is the arrival of hope and change.
Every sent word is programmed to deliver (Isaiah 55:8-11).
WHAT IS PROPHECY?
- It is the unveiling of God’s plans and purpose for a nation,
a group of people or an individual (Deuteronomy 18:21-22). They are God’s
instrument of rescue (Hebrew 10:35-38).
- Prophecy is “Thus says the Lord”. That is the
mouthpiece of God, through man, declaring the commandments of God (Isaiah
14:24).
- It is the sworn verdict of God
(Isaiah 14:24).
There are two main sources of prophecies and they include:
- Prophecy from the scripture also referred to as a “more
sure word of prophecy” (2Peter 1:19-21). A prophecy from the Word of God
is reliable.
- Prophecy from the prophet sent to you. This should not
be a believer’s main priority (Matthew 10:41).
Every ministry gift is
given to edify the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 14: 3).
It is our responsibility
to know what it takes to experience fulfilment of prophecy. Every word of
prophecy commits God to visit man. Prophecies stimulate joy and rejoicing
(Hebrew 12:2).
We are not of them that draw back
unto perdition but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
HOW DO YOU CONTINUE TO THE END
WITHOUT GIVING UP?
Be strong in faith by giving glory to God. Doing the will of
God strengthens faith (Romans 4: 17-19; Isaiah 40:28-31). Waiting on the Lord
also means you are trusting in Him and He does not fail. The word of prophecy
stirs up faith and destroys weariness.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET PROPHECIES FULFILLED?
When Prophecies are declared:
- It stirs up or ignites hope. The Word of God is the
living hope; therefore, it injects living hope in people (Psalm 119:49
& Psalm 89: 34).
- It declares the counsel of the
Lord (Isaiah 52:1-2; 1 John 5:4).
WHAT IS A BARRIER?
It is an obstacle, something that prevents movement or
passage, something that wants to stop your advancement. There are invisible
barriers the enemy can put to stop people from entering into God’s plan. There
is no barrier that God cannot destroy, believe Him and it shall come to pass.
Do not watch barriers, speak to it and it will give way (Mark 4: 35-39 Mark
11:23).
Unbelief is a barrier to receive God’s prophecy. Praise is a
sign that you believe God and it is a sickle to take delivery of every promise
of God (Hebrew 3:16-18, Hebrew 4:1). Until a prophetic word is received, it is
never fulfilled. You have to receive it, believe it and it shall be fulfilled
(2Peter 1:19-21).
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BREAK INVISIBLE
BARRIERS?
We have a redemptive right to break invisible barriers off
our paths.
- You must be Born Again (1John 5: 4). Redemption
guarantees your scaling every barrier.
- You must become and remain a child of light. When you walk in light, you can see the barriers and surmount it and God becomes your defence. We walk in light by remaining in love (1 John 4:16).
